Successful Trade Mission to Raleigh, North Carolina
Our Trade Mission to Raleigh, North Carolina was a great success with a mixture of meetings that took our delegates to North Carolina State University to discuss the future of "Esports", the headquarters of Special Olympics North Carolina to present signed t- shirts and medals to athletes on behalf of the Gibraltar team, and Raleigh City Hall to meet lawmakers and deliver a letter from the Chief Minister to the Mayor Pro Tem. Delegates active in the Blockchain sector also attended a luncheon and round-table with the
North Carolina Blockchain Initiative to chart the course for enhanced collaboration. The delegation also visited the Museum of Art which holds one of the biggest collections of Rodin. Thanks again to our sponsors HM Government of GibraltarHM Government of Gibraltar and Continent 8 Technologies !
Our second day was filled with productive B2B meetings between our delegates representing top Gibraltar businesses and their North Carolina counterparts in sectors ranging from software to tourism. Time was also taken to explore the deep historical and cultural connections between our two cities and countries, which date back to when King Charles II issued the Carolina Charter in 1663. In fact, our delegates had the privilege of viewing this document inside the vaults of the State Archives, as well as exchanging artefacts and books with curators at the North Carolina Museum of History and City of Raleigh Museum. How fitting that, 360 years later, Secretary of State Elaine Marshall presented the flag that flew atop the State Capitol to our delegation in honour of the Coronation of HM King Charles. Thanks again to our sponsors HM Government of Gibraltar and Continent 8 Technologies for making this possible!

Saturday afternoon was the third and final day of our Trade Mission to Raleigh sponsored by HM Government of Gibraltar and Continent 8 Technologies. The highlight of the day was a garden party at the North Carolina Executive Mansion to mark the Coronation of HM King Charles III. Special thanks to Governor Roy Cooper for hosting this celebration at his official residence! It was a wonderful way to cap off our visit, which will no doubt be the first of many!
